Il papà di Bambi, nella scrittura originale, dopo la morte della madre dice: ” la tua mamma non tornerà mai più, gli uomini l’hanno portata via. Lo so che è difficile da comprendere ma questa è la vita nella foresta. Adesso devi essere coraggioso e camminare da solo.” Questo passaggio del dialogo diventò semplicemente: “ tua madre non potrà più essere con te.”
La visione del film rischiò d’essere vietata ai minori, il messaggio della responsabilità diretta degli uomini nella distruzione della natura non poteva essere espressa in modo cosi’chiaro e violento.
